Deferred Comp
Working with the District and other Local representatives responsible for administering Plans.
Budget
Develops annual budget and presents to the Executive Board in November. The Treasurer is chair.
Contracting Out
Monitors all contracting out issues.
Good & Welfare
Responsible for providing refreshments at pre-designated union functions, noting important events in member's lives. Sends info to members about benefits of belonging to the Union.
Law & Legislation – Political Action
Defines, investigates and makes recommends on legislation that is of interest and benefit to the members (and District). Shall study and recommend a program of political education and action; and encourage members to register and vote.
Newsletter/Website
Writes and publishes a monthly newsletter containing information and news of interest to the members.
Succession Planning
Preparing a plan to assure a continuing sequence of qualified members to move into leadership when the when the current leadership and key activists retire or leave the Local.
Community Outreach
Develop a plan of action to improve our communities, foster communication and promote AFSCME within the neighborhoods in which we work and live.
