A few items of interest...

  • Local 2019 has purchased a limited number of tickets to the Alameda Labor Council's 2010 Labor Day Celebration/BBQ.  The celebration is being held on Monday, September 6 from 3pm to 6pm at the Martin Luther King Jr. Shoreline Park in Oakland.  Gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown is scheduled to attend.   • Local 2019 will be purchasing two tickets to the Contra Costa Central Labor & Building and Construction Trades Councils 11th Annual Labor 2 Labor Dinner.  The dinner is being held on Friday, September 17 starting at 5:30 pm at the Crowne Plaza Concord Hotel.  Gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown has been invited as the Keynote Speaker.   • Local 2019 will begin our Voter Registration drive on September 14, 2010.  Details to follow, but volunteers are needed to staff the table before work/during lunch (at the NAB, AMC, SD1, etc.).  Please contact Mark Foley (x1384) if you are interested in volunteering.

  • Due to leadership availability, vacations, etc. our September 7, 2010 Executive Board meeting has been rescheduled to September 14, 2010 - 5:30 PM - Conference Room 7A/B.
     

  • Our October 19, 2010 General Membership meeting will be held in two locations...Upcountry (location to be determined) and the Administration Building in Oakland.
     

  • Meeting minutes for the 2010 Executive Board and General Membership meetings have been updated (under the Meeting Minutes link to the left).

  • AFSCME Council 57 Delegate Vacancy - Local 2019 has one delegate vacancy for Council 57 (our parent organization).   Please contact Mark Foley (x1384) if you are interested.
